AI visibility tools compared: Peec AI, Otterly, Profound and PandaCrawl

AI visibility tools side by side: price, prompts per plan and AI models tracked, plus what pay-per-answer tracking costs and when a flat plan is cheaper.

Competitor prices and plans checked on 2026-10-17, from each vendor's own pricing and docs pages. Written by the PandaCrawl team, so read it knowing we make one of the tools compared.

AI visibility tools ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and others the questions your buyers ask, and record whether your brand is named, which competitors are named instead, and which pages the answers cite. They differ mainly in which AI models they cover, how many prompts a plan includes, and how they charge: most sell a flat monthly plan with a prompt allowance; PandaCrawl charges each answer to your plan's credits.

What PandaCrawl's tracking costs

PandaCrawl asks each model through its API, and each answer uses credits from your plan: about 194 credits for one question asked of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. The same credits pay for keyword research, rank tracking and audits, so leave room for those.

What you trackScheduleCredits a monthMonthly plan that covers itOn the lifetime deal (data at cost)
15 questionsWeeklyabout 11,600Pro, $39about $9
50 questionsWeeklyabout 38,800Agency, $99about $30
15 questionsDailyabout 87,000Agency plus credit packsabout $68
50 questionsDailyabout 291,000Not a good fitabout $225

So the honest answer depends on how many questions you track and how often:

  • A focused set, weekly: PandaCrawl's Pro plan at $39 covers 15 questions across four models and leaves room for everyday SEO work. Otterly's $29 Lite plan covers the same 15 prompts on its own.
  • About 50 questions, weekly: PandaCrawl's Agency plan at $99 covers it; Peec's Starter covers 50 prompts on three models for $95, and checks them daily. The prices are close: pick on whether you need Claude and the SEO tools (PandaCrawl) or daily checks and Google's AI surfaces (Peec).
  • Many questions every day: a flat plan wins clearly. If daily numbers across many prompts matter to you, a dedicated tool is the better buy.
  • You need Claude: PandaCrawl includes it at the same rate as the others. Elsewhere it is an add-on or an Enterprise feature.
  • You'd rather pay for data at cost: the lifetime deal runs on your own DataForSEO account, where a question across all four models costs about $0.15.

AI answers vary from run to run, so for most brands weekly is enough to see a trend: one day's answer is a sample, not a ranking.

What else differs

  • Coverage. Peec, Otterly and Profound track Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot; PandaCrawl's scheduled tracking covers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. PandaCrawl's brand lookup shows how ChatGPT and Google's AI answers mention a brand, but not on a schedule.
  • What you can do about it. A visibility tool tells you that a competitor is named instead of you; the fix is usually a better page, a mention on a site the models cite, or a page that's missing from Bing (which feeds ChatGPT search and Copilot). PandaCrawl includes the SEO side: keyword research, site audits, backlinks, Search Console and Bing index submission.
  • From your AI assistant. PandaCrawl's tracking is available over MCP, so Claude or ChatGPT can set up questions, run them within a budget you approve and read the results. Otterly offers MCP on its Standard plan and up.
  • Seats and projects. Peec includes unlimited users on every plan; PandaCrawl has no seat pricing either.

Where each fits

  • Peec AI or Otterly if you want daily tracking across many engines, including Google's AI surfaces and Copilot, from a dedicated tool.
  • Profound for enterprise teams who want a sales-led platform across nine engines.
  • Semrush or Ahrefs add-ons if you already pay for that suite and want AI numbers in the same place.
  • PandaCrawl if you want AI visibility and the SEO work to act on it in one tool, track weekly or a focused set of questions, need Claude covered, or want to run it from your AI assistant.

Questions people ask

What is the cheapest AI visibility tool?
Among dedicated tools, Otterly Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts. PandaCrawl's $39 Pro plan covers 15 questions asked weekly of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, plus keyword research, rank tracking and audits.
Which AI visibility tools track Claude?
PandaCrawl tracks Claude on every plan at the same per-answer price. Otterly sells Claude as an add-on from $29 a month, and Peec AI and Profound include it on Enterprise plans.
When is a flat-price AI visibility tool better than paying per answer?
When you track many questions every day. Fifty questions a day on four models is far more than PandaCrawl's plans include, and costs about $225 a month in data even on its lifetime deal, against $95 for Peec AI's Starter plan on three models.
Does PandaCrawl track Google AI Overviews and Copilot?
Not as scheduled prompts. PandaCrawl's tracking covers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity; its brand lookup shows how ChatGPT and Google's AI answers mention a brand. Peec AI and Otterly track Google's AI surfaces and Copilot.
